Alfa Romeo 8C slowly arrives in USA (U.S)

The first examples of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione sports car to be legally registered in the United States were recently delivered during a small - and rather exclusive -ceremony at Miller Motorcars in Greenwich, Connecticut. Alfa Romeo project manager Renzo Barbirato was on hand to deliver the first Alfa Romeo sold in the United States since 1995 to collector Jim Glickenhaus.

The first 8C delivery marks the end of an Alfa-less era in the U.S and, many enthusiasts hope, it means the opening of the gates for less expensive Alfa Romeos to begin arriving in the U.S and Canada.

Glickenhaus custom-ordered his 8C to be swathed in the same red paint his custom-bodied-by-Pininfarina Ferrari P4/5, according to Veloce Today. Two other 8Cs were delivered were delivered yesterday in Greenwich, as well, and it’s expected that the remaining 77 8Cs said to be allocated for the U.S will be delivered shortly.
